The Beauty Social!!

I know this is late, but I wanted my first blog post to be about The Beauty Social (sponsored byBeautylish) That I attended on Sunday October 23rd! It was awesome. I'm definitely going to the next one (this was the first annual)
ahh, where to start! I brought my momma along, and we had a blast. There was soo much to do!

WHAT IT IS:
"Get ready for The Beauty Social, an exciting two-day event celebrating every kind of beauty. It reflects the matte kind, the glossy kind. The big kind, the small kind. The natural kind, the expressive kind. Most importantly, your kind.

Discover how the voice of beauty is transforming from social media sensations, celebrity makeup artists, renowned beauty experts, and successful brand founders. Laugh, learn, and mingle with real Beauties who all have one thing in common: they use the language of beauty to express their uniqueness to the world."

The urban decay booth was my absolute favorite. I got this bright pink glitter 'tattoo' of a sparrow, and it lasted for days! I also got my eyeshadow done. the girls were so sweet and fun to talk to!

Billy Brasfield, or 'Billy B', also known as Lady GaGa's makeup artist. His story was so inspirational, it's amazing to hear that he started out working where I do now! Gives me hope! haha.
KANDEE JOHNSON! One of the main reasons I went. I heard about it from her youtube video and I just had to go. She is such an inspiration, I seriously teared up when I was listening to her speech/stories. I've never done that!! Now my moms hooked on watching her vids too! I was SO excited I got to meet her! She had compliments for everyone and I thought that was incredibly sweet. Ever since I try to compliment everyone I meet, it makes the person feel great as well as yourself! I showed her the hello kitty purse I made, and I told her she inspired me to make it! I love the one she has, its so cute! So I make my own :)

My mom and I had a great time. There was so much to do, and all of the speakers that day were amazing. I also loved Annie and Maggie Ford Danielson, the Brand Ambassadors for Benefit Cosmetics, and Claire Wineland, who is a teenage cystic fibrosis survivor who was full of energy and really made me think again about my inner beauty.
There was also free Shellac Gel Nail manicures from CND, the Benefit Brow Bar, SugarPill eyeshadow makeovers, Cover FX and sooo much more! And not to mention the amazing non-alcoholic 'mocktails' that were offered with cute names like the 'bene-tini' and 'Dr. Feelgood' ! ;)

Last but definitely not least! I almost forgot! One of the best goodie bags from something I've ever gotten, HANDS DOWN! So many sweet treats! Some of my favorites are the Cover FX setting FX powder, RGB Nail Color, NOIR perfume by Victorias Secret, Faux false lashes, NYX lipstick, Urban Decay Good Karma crease brush, Scott Barnes Body Bling, and Exfolikate by Kate Somerville.

This was such an amazing experience, I highly recommend going to next years Beauty Social! You can check it out here: http://www.thebeautysocial.com/
